A wandering elephant sows terror and worries the population living in the village located in the Lubuzi sector, in the Tshela territory in Kongo-Central.
National deputy Crispin Mbadu told Radio Okapi on Monday March 1 that this elephant is devastating the fields of the population, and for fear of crossing it on the way, the inhabitants of these villages no longer go to the field.
The elected representative of Tshela thus calls on the heads of the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN) to take urgent measures to spare the population from this danger.
“The inhabitants fear for their safety and for their fields. It should be noted that the inhabitants of the Lubuzi sector only live from the forest. They cannot go there to get supplies and these people risk running out of food,” Crispin Mbadu warned
