Education driver arrested for possession of elephant tusks at Katima Mulilo

A driver in the Directorate of Education in the Zambezi Region was arrested Tuesday night at Katima Mulilo for possession of elephant tusks.

The suspect used an Education Ministry vehicle and managed to drive away from the police and Ministry of Environment and Tourism officials with the government vehicle.

He was however, intercepted after parking the government vehicle and tried to get away in his private sedan.

He is is going to be charged with possession of protected animal products and misuse of a government vehicle.
